THIS IS A BOOK ABOUT THE STONES LEFT [FOUND] ALONG THE WAY (ESTE É UM LIVRO SOBRE AS PEDRAS DEIXADAS [ENCONTRADAS] NO CAMINHO)
A book is more than a book. This one is many things: among them, a dialogue between the text "a stone that speaks", by Carolina Moraes, and the prints and photoperformances of people who agreed to wander with Marina Colhado, reimagining the journey and the belonging of stones. Text and images were reconstructed by the artist through collage and printmaking processes. The work was created while she was living with a herniated disc and facing the impossibility of wandering physically. After all, who was it that associated stones with the absence of movement?
