Christiane Hoffrichter

Mini Bio

Christiane Hoffrichter is a visual artist who considers sight one of our most beautiful senses. Through her work, she seeks the act of contemplation, allowing her to perceive the beauty that only becomes visible when time is given the space to unfold. VAGARI

To wander is to be free; it is to connect with time.

To wander is to pause; it is to contemplate.

To wander is to begin and begin again; it is to embrace simplicity.

To wander is to be in between, to cross over, to live.

The dandelion is resilience; it is transformation.

The dandelion is time, it is life, it is simplicity.

The dandelion is innocence; it is lightness.

The dandelion is both sowing and harvesting in its own season.

The subjective relationship between the human “vaga mundo” and the life cycle of the dandelion evokes something delicate and inevitable. The seed, the human being, and the Latin language all carry a gesture of departure—a breath of existence. Wherever they come to rest, they sow a new cycle with lightness and freedom.
