The transmission of knowledge relies on a physical record—one that must be preserved across time and space and be understood by people. How has knowledge been passed down? How much of it has already been lost? And what about today, when everything resides in the cloud—what will be lost to future generations? This sense of unease, combined with my encounters with graphic symbols and unintelligible languages, led me on a journey through writing—through the sets of symbols we call alphabets. The result is "WORLD", a work comprising four slim volumes. Each one chronicles a journey linked to my travels and research.
