Catherine Prats, a visual artist and art historian, has extensive experience in painting and drawing. Having dedicated herself primarily to painting, but especially to drawing, her artistic work is linked to paper, which she treats as palimpsests, blending images and words like incomplete and secret manuscripts. She has been doing printmaking, mainly with burin and aquatint, for 25 years. Owner of the MiniMa Gallery, "Ma" being the Japanese word for space: a mini space for a mini bookstore, particularly miniature and small-format books.
