IMMORTELLE
Between caatingas and silences, the story of women “Sempre Vivas” emerges. Like the flower of the Serra do Espinhaço, which after mining became the sustenance of a region and symbol of memory. Where the land is exhaustively explored, the culture and the relationships are shaped by violence. The work proposes, by means of engraving, a reading of a lost family archive, found on a trip to Chapada Diamantina, where the practice of mining violated women's bodies and destinies, leaving marks of struggle and resistance.
