MEMENTO MORI

This book is about the passage of time. The artist uses the plants from her backyard as a metaphor and as raw material for the production of handmade papers, based on the same fiber of the represented plant, the fragrant "lirio do brejo"(Hedychium coronarium). The representation of the stages of the flower is achieved through the collage of delicate scraps of paper. The poetic element involves the process and the confrontation with the material, which, with their own times, promote a dialogue between the archaic and the contemporary.

MARCAS DA AUSÊNCIA (MARKS OF ABSENCE)

In this book, the artist works on handmade papers made from plant fibers, proposing an immersion into the pages, which become smaller as one approaches its interior. The images depict different life cycles of plants collected from her backyard, captured using the monotype technique. The print is obtained by removing the form that gave rise to it, leaving traces of its absence.*
