Lídia Adisaka
Mini Bio
Lídia Adisaka (1999) is a visual artist who works and lives in São Paulo. In her work, the materiality of paper takes center stage through the Japanese cutting technique. Her themes stem from her fascination with plant life, mainly exploring the concept of "komorebi" through the projection of shadows that pass through the cut paper.
VALE DO SOL (VALLEY OF THE SUN)
The book is about the artist's memories with her grandmother, with whom she spent the pandemic and her last moments together at the "Vale do Sol" ranch. Using the Japanese paper-cutting technique, the images reveal small fragments of their memories created in this place. The lines and shadows merge into a narrative that seeks to honor her grandmother's passing and to materialize the longing for a time that will never return.
