FLORESTA PERDIDA (LOST FOREST)
The book is a symbolic account of the Atlantic crossings and the disappearance of Brazilian forests. It is composed of three books — 1500, 1816, and 2025 — which represent the Atlantic Forest through cutouts of shadows photographed in a remnant woodland area in southern Brazil.
Lost Forest is an invitation to contemplation and reflection: on what was once seen, what was taken, and what remains — in the landscape, in art, and in memory.
