LOST FOREST
Nine Michel
The book is a symbolic account between of the Atlantic crossings and the disappearance of Brazilian forests. Three books, 1500, 1816, and 2025, represent the Atlantic Forest through shadows photographed in an area of remaining forest in southern Brazil. Lost Forest is an invitation to contemplation and reflection: on what was seen, what was taken, and what remains—in the landscape, in art, and in memory.
