Estela Vilela
Dreaming reflects the wanderings inspired by the Rosano backlands.
Estela Vilela is a bookbinder, educator and book artist, with a degree in Psychology from PUC SP and in Literature from USP SP. Her experience in bookbinding includes the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo, training courses at ABER - Brazilian Association of Bookbinding and Restoration and international courses, subsequently having her work exhibited in several international forums and exhibitions.
During his presidency at ABER (2013-2019), he promoted book culture, promoting the International Artistic Bookbinding Competition in São Paulo and Casa do Papel at FLIP in Paraty for two consecutive years, among other initiatives. His educational projects emphasize graphic experimentation, research and production of artist's books.
Currently, in addition to being co-creator and advisor of the online course Folds of Si, became coordinator of the international residence suitcase, wandering address of artist's books, teaches face-to-face courses, offers consultancy in his studio in São Paulo and collaborates with cultural institutions such as Sesc, IPHAN, Educativo Flip, Itaú Cultural, among others.
