For this edition of M.A.L.A., I chose to use fragments of varvite, a type of sedimentary rock very common in the city where I currently live—Itu, São Paulo—and a material I've used frequently since 2023. The intention was to record the journey, or the "path," that a stone can make through the pages of a book, leaving its marks, its traces. Considering the relief of these varvite fragments, I used them as stamps, thus creating graphic impressions that record these journeys.
