Parme Baratier is a French artist and printmaker who uses painting and printmaking as a form of expression. His focus is the natural world, especially botany, which serves as inspiration and an object of research. According to Baratier, the representation of the natural world must be faithful, but it must also present the poetic language of the botanical world.

Em sua Tautologies Jardin de Papier, the author presents us with an entire process:"Planting, watering, letting it grow, following the seasons, representing the plant in an engraved matrix, harvesting, extracting the plant fiber, grinding the fiber to obtain the pulp, filtering the pulp to obtain the paper, and finally, printing the matrix onto the dry fiber.” And so, we have a paper garden, made from the garden itself, where each of its plants allows us to write, draw, and paint our story.
