Luiza Fontes, a publicist and PhD candidate in Language Studies, dedicates herself to investigating the creative relationship between words and images, a passion reflected in both her professional practice and artistic production. Her works explore the hybridity of language, allowing poetry to gain color and texture through collages.
SEI DE COR (I KNOW BY HEART)
The project aims to reclaim the artist's ancestral figures. More than a recovery of memories, the work proposes the creation of a feminine genealogy that embraces the past with reverence and reinvents it through storytelling. By intervening in old photos of her ancestors with collage, embroidery, and watercolor, the artist seeks to create an inventive atmosphere to reflect the strength and coexistence of bonds between women across generations.
