Her experience in bookbinding includes the Liceu de Artes e Of\u00edcios de S\u00e3o Paulo, training courses at ABER - Brazilian Association of Bookbinding and Restoration and international courses, subsequently having her work exhibited in several international forums and exhibitions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">During her presidency at ABER (2013-2019), she promoted book culture, promoting the International Artistic Bookbinding Competition in S\u00e3o Paulo and the Casa do Papel at FLIP in Paraty for two consecutive years, among other initiatives. Her educational projects emphasize graphic experimentation, research and production of artist&#039;s books. Before her foray into the arts, she worked as an environmental consultant at the \u201cTerra Capital Fund\u201d, a pioneer in raising funds for biodiversity preservation projects. Co-founder of the Cooperativa de Artistas Visuais do Brasil (2003-2006), her goal was to expand the role of visual artists in cultural decisions and in the promotion of art.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixGuard wixui-rich-text__text\">\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">At ABER \u2013 Brazilian Association of Bookbinding and Restoration, she led the N\u00daCLEO DE ARTE, creating programs for the study and production of artist\u2019s books (2013-2018). Curating exhibitions in Brazil, Paris and the USA, Monique investigates individual and collective identity, exploring its relationship with space, time and otherness. Her artistic journey began shortly after graduating from high school, when she moved to Paris and enrolled in the renowned School of Fine Arts. There, she had the opportunity to hone her drawing talent in the studio of Pierre Alechinsky, a prominent artist associated with the<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>COBRA movement (Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam). The COBRA movement, known for its exaltation of primitive culture and unconventional art, including expressions of prehistoric and medieval art, became a fundamental source of inspiration for Chica Boyriven. For a decade, she devoted herself to the study and practice of various engraving techniques in the \u201cArts du Livre\u201d studio, collaborating with the artist Mireille Baltar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">In addition, she completed her education by studying bookbinding for two years at the \u00c9cole Municipal des M\u00e9tiers de l&#039;Artisanat in Paris.
