POSEIDONIA

Maíra Carvalho

The book was born after a trip to the seaside, when I felt the world's smallest seashells beneath my feet—completely or almost completely colorless, tiny, and extremely delicate. I realized that, within the curve of the shell, there was something hidden. What do they take and bring back from their journeys across the seas? What do they hide in this coming and going? They are carapaces, helmets, shells, cocoons, their own islands—hence the name. Poseidonia.
